Definition
懂行 means 'to know the business' or 'to know the ropes' — being an insider who really understands a particular trade or field. It's a colloquial verb-object compound (v.o.) that can be split: e.g., 懂什么行? ('what do you know about the business?'). It can also be used as a stative verb (s.v.) meaning 'knowledgeable' or 'experienced'.
