Definition
截至 (jié zhì) is a formal verb meaning 'as of' or 'up to' a specified time — it marks the cutoff point for a situation. Unlike 截止 (jié zhǐ), which indicates a deadline ends (e.g., registration closes), 截至 states the time up to which something is true. It is more precise than the general 到 (dào) 'until' and appears mainly in writing.
