Definition
打搅 (dǎ jiǎo) is a formal or polite way to say 'to disturb, to bother' — often used in apologies ('打搅了') or when interrupting someone. It is more formal and less frequent in daily speech than the common 打扰 (dǎ rǎo). It differs from 麻烦 (má fan), which is used for politely asking a favor.
