Definition
拼命 (pīn mìng) vividly means 'to risk one's life', and as an adverb it describes doing something desperately or with abandon — as if everything is at stake. It's stronger and more impulsive than 奋力, 极力, or 竭力 (all 'with all one's effort') and less formal than the phrase 竭尽全力. Use it when the effort feels extreme or even reckless, not just maximum.
