Definition
揍 (zòu) is a very colloquial verb meaning 'to beat up' — used in everyday speech for physical fighting or hitting someone. It is much more informal than the formal, legal term 殴打 (ōu dǎ 'to assault'), and less specific than 捶 (chuí 'to thump with a fist or stick') or 砸 (zá 'to smash, pound hard').
