Definition
插手 (chā shǒu) is a colloquial verb for 'meddle' or 'get involved in something not one's business', with a negative tone. Unlike neutral 参与 (cān yù) or formal 干涉 (gān shè), 插手 is everyday speech for poking one's nose in. It is a separable verb (离合词), e.g., 插不上手.
