Definition
昏迷 (hūn mí) is a medical term for a deep, prolonged loss of consciousness (a coma), not a brief faint. By contrast, 晕 (yūn) means a temporary faint or dizziness, and 昏 (hūn) can mean fainting, confusion, or losing consciousness but is less severe. 昏迷 is used in clinical or serious contexts; the others are more general.
