Definition
晾 (liàng) means to air-dry (clothes, towels, etc.) without direct sun — you hang them indoors or in the shade. In contrast, 晒 (shài) means to dry in the sun (晒衣服) or bask in sunlight (晒太阳). Figuratively, 晾 means to cold-shoulder someone (ignore them deliberately), while 晒 in HSK5 means to show off on social media.
