Definition
期 (qī) is a classifier for issues of a periodical that are part of a numbered series (e.g., 第三期杂志 'third issue'), and for sessions or stages of a course, program, or competition. It differs from 份 (fèn), which counts individual copies, newspapers, or documents without implying a sequence.
