Definition
未免 (wèi miǎn) is an adverb used before 太 or 有点儿 to express that something is a bit too much, carrying mild criticism or disapproval. Unlike 比较 (bǐjiào) or 颇 (pō), which are neutral 'rather/quite', 未免 adds a judgmental tone — you're saying something is excessive or inappropriate.
