本领 (běn lǐng) refers to a practical skill or ability that one has mastered, often through training or practice. It is more specific than 能力 (néng lì, general ability) and overlaps with 技能 (jì néng, technical skill), but 本领 often carries a sense of being impressive or noteworthy. 能耐 (néng nai) is a more colloquial synonym, common in spoken northern Chinese.
