Definition
权利 (quán lì) is the standard word for 'rights' — legal or moral entitlements a person has. It differs from 权 (quán), a shorter form used in compounds (e.g. 人权 'human rights') that can also mean 'power'; and from 权力 (quán lì, same pinyin but different character), which means 'power/authority', not 'rights'.
