Definition
枚 (méi) is a classifier for small flat/round items (coins, rings, medals) and also larger manufactured objects like rockets and satellites. 颗 (kē) overlaps for some round items (e.g., pearls, satellites), but 枚 is preferred for flat shapes and formal/prestige objects (missiles, rockets); 粒 (lì) is reserved for tiny round things (pills, grains).
