Definition
果然 means 'as expected' — something happens exactly as predicted. It focuses on confirming a prior expectation, unlike 确实 and 的确 which just affirm truth ('indeed'), and unlike 当然 ('of course') which expresses obviousness. Always used when a guess or forecast turns out right.
