Definition
梯子 (tī zi) is a portable ladder you lean against a wall or surface to climb up or down. It differs from 阶梯 (jiē tī), which is a fixed staircase or steps (literal or figurative), and from 滑梯 (huá tī), a playground slide for sliding down.
