Definition
残缺 (cánquē) describes something physically damaged and therefore incomplete — like a broken antique, a torn page, or a disfigured finger. It focuses on the result of damage leaving a part missing, unlike 缺少 (quēshǎo) 'to lack' (not necessarily due to damage) or 伤残 (shāngcán) 'to disable' a person.
