毁坏 (huǐhuài) means to damage or destroy something, typically a physical object, and can be accidental or deliberate. It is more concrete and specific to physical damage than 破坏 (pòhuài), which also applies to abstract things (e.g. rules, relationships). Unlike 毁灭 (huǐmiè), it does not necessarily imply total annihilation.
