Definition
点击 (diǎnjī) is the standard verb for 'to click' on a digital interface — a link, button, or icon with a mouse or touchscreen. Unlike 按钮 (ànniǔ) which is a noun meaning 'button (the thing you press)', 点击 is always the action itself. It is not used for pressing a physical key (that's 按 àn) or for hitting a target (中 zhòng).
