Definition
特意 (tè yì) means 'specially, for a specific purpose' and always implies a positive or neutral intention — you do something extra because you care. It's close to 专门 (zhuān mén) but slightly warmer and more emotional; 刻意 (kè yì) often carries a negative or calculated nuance ('deliberately, on purpose').
