狭隘 (xiá ài) describes both physical narrowness (e.g., a cramped space) and, more commonly, a narrow-minded or limited perspective. Compared to 窄 (zhǎi), which is the everyday word for 'narrow' in size, 狭隘 is more formal and strongly emphasizes a lack of breadth in thinking or experience.
