Definition
献艺 is a formal verb-object compound meaning 'to present one's skill or art to the public', used for performers such as musicians, dancers, and acrobats. Since it is a separable verb (离合词), the verb 献 and the object 艺 can be separated by aspect markers, measure words, or modifiers — e.g., 献了一次艺 ('performed once'), 献过几次艺 ('have performed several times'). You can also specify the audience using 为 or 向 before the compound.
