Definition
生疏 (shēngshū) means 'unfamiliar' (a place/person once known but now not) or 'rusty' (a skill). Unlike 陌生 (mòshēng), which describes something completely unknown, 生疏 implies a loss of familiarity over time. For skills, 荒 (huāng) focuses on neglect leading to decline, while 生疏 is the resulting state.
