Definition
界线 (jiè xiàn) can refer to both a concrete dividing line (e.g., between plots of land) and an abstract limit (e.g., in behavior). Compared to 边界 (biān jiè), which is more concrete and often geopolitical, 界线 is broader and can be figurative. 界限 (jiè xiàn) is very similar but often emphasizes the cutoff point or limit itself rather than the line.
