Definition
相似 (xiāng sì) means 'similar, alike' — things that resemble each other but are not identical. This contrasts with 相同 (xiāng tóng), which means 'same, identical' (exact match). 相近 (xiāng jìn) is also 'similar' but often refers to closeness in degree, distance, or time.
