Definition
相见 means 'to meet (each other) in person', but it has a slightly formal or literary feel compared to the everyday word 见面. Unlike 见面, 相见 cannot be split into syllables (it's not a separable verb), and the person you meet is introduced with a preposition like 与, 和, or 跟 before 相见 — for example 与他相见 ('meet with him'). You'll often see it in idioms like 相见恨晚 ('regret not having met earlier').
