Definition
着陆 is a separable verb (离合词) meaning 'to land' (of aircraft, spacecraft, etc.). The verb 着 and the noun 陆 can separate when you need to insert a measure word, result, or duration between them: 着了一次陆 ('landed once'), 着不了陆 ('cannot land'). In other contexts, the two syllables stay together as 着陆.
