Definition
离队 is a separable verb (离合词) meaning 'to leave a team, a group, or one's post'. The verb 离 and the object 队 can split when adding aspect markers or measure words: e.g., 离了队 (has left the team), 离过两次队 (has left the team twice). You use it for leaving military units, sports teams, or work posts.
