Definition
秀美 (xiù měi) denotes an elegant, delicate beauty — typically of natural scenery, calligraphy, or facial features. It is more specific than 优美 (yōu měi), which covers general grace; and less about refined manners than 优雅 (yōu yǎ). It is not used for a person's overall figure (苗条) or male handsomeness (帅).
