Definition
称号 (chēng hào) is an honorary or official title awarded to someone, like 'Hero' or 'Best Employee'. It differs from 头衔 (tóu xián), which is a rank or position title (e.g., 'Professor'), and from 职称 (zhí chēng), which is a formal professional ranking (e.g., 'Senior Engineer'). Unlike 称呼 (chēng hu), which is a form of address, 称号 is a specific named honor.
