Definition
移植 (yí zhí) means 'to transplant' – moving a plant, organ, or software from one location to another. Unlike 种 (zhòng) or 种植 (zhòng zhí), which mean 'to plant' (putting seeds or seedlings into soil), 移植 emphasizes relocation of an already-growing thing. 栽 (zāi) also means 'to plant' but is more colloquial and can mean 'to frame'.
