Definition
笔头 literally means the tip or nib of a writing instrument (pen, brush, pencil). By extension, it also refers to one's writing ability or skill in composition. Additionally, it can be used attributively to mean 'written' (as opposed to oral), e.g. 笔头考试 (written exam).
