Definition
索性 (suǒxìng) is an adverb meaning 'might as well' or 'simply', used when you decide to do something decisively after hesitating or because the situation leaves no better option. It's stronger and more resolute than 干脆 (gāncuì 'simply, straightforwardly'), which can also be an adjective; 索性 focuses on the finality of the choice, while 不妨 (bùfáng 'there's no harm in') is a gentler suggestion.
