Definition
编成 is a resultative verb (verb + complement 成 'into a completed state'). It has three distinct uses: compiling a book or document into a finished product, weaving threads or materials together to form something, and (military) organizing personnel into a unit. The meaning is always 'to create something complete' through the action of the first syllable.
