Definition
羽 is a bound morpheme (黏着语素, b.f.) meaning 'feather', 'plume', or 'wing'. It never appears alone in modern Chinese — you must combine it with another character to form common words such as 羽毛 (feather), 羽毛球 (badminton), 羽绒 (down feather), and 羽翼 (wings).
