聪明 (cōng míng) is the everyday word for a person's natural intelligence or cleverness. Unlike 智能 (zhì néng), which describes smart technology or AI, 聪明 is only used for living beings. It also differs from 智慧 (zhì huì), a noun meaning 'wisdom' gained through experience.
