Definition
胃口 (wèi kǒu) literally means 'appetite' for food, but is also used figuratively for a person's taste or interest in something (e.g., 对胃口 'to one's liking'). Unlike 食欲 (shí yù), which is strictly the physical desire to eat, 胃口 covers both the literal and metaphorical sense. 口味 (kǒu wèi) refers to the flavor of food or someone's preference in taste, not the desire to eat.
