胶带 (jiāo dài) refers to adhesive tape in a roll, used for sticking things together. Unlike 胶水 (jiāo shuǐ, liquid glue), it is a solid strip with adhesive on one side; unlike 磁带 (cí dài, magnetic tape), it is not for recording but for sealing or attaching.
