Definition
脏 (zāng) is the everyday, general word for 'dirty' used in speech and writing for people, objects, and places. 污秽 (wū huì) is much stronger and formal/literary, often for moral filth or extreme dirt; 混浊 (hùn zhuó) is only for liquids or air being murky or turbid.
