Definition
脚 (jiǎo) primarily means 'foot' (human or animal). For animals, it can also mean 'leg' (e.g., chicken leg meat), distinct from 腿 (tuǐ) which refers to the whole leg (thigh and calf). When meaning 'base', 脚 refers to the bottom part of an object (like a wall), while 底 (dǐ) means the underside/sole and 座 (zuò) is a separate supporting structure.
