Definition
艇 is a bound form (b.f.) meaning 'boat' or 'craft', and cannot stand alone as an independent word. It must appear as part of compound words such as 游艇 (yóutǐng - yacht), 潜艇 (qiántǐng - submarine), and 快艇 (kuàitǐng - speedboat). When you see 艇, it always attaches to a preceding morpheme that specifies the type of vessel.
