Definition
若干 (ruò gān) is a formal, written pronoun meaning 'a certain number of' or 'several'. Unlike 几 (jǐ) or 多少 (duō shao), which are used in everyday speech and questions, 若干 is restricted to formal contexts like reports, contracts, or academic writing. It does not form questions.
