荫 (yīn) is a stative verb that describes a place shaded from the sun, often cool and damp. It can characterize spots under trees, in alleys, or areas with little sunlight. There is also a rare historical verb usage meaning 'to confer privileges on the descendants of a meritorious official,' but that sense is not a stative verb and is not covered here.
