Definition
薄 (báo) describes physical thinness of flat objects (paper, ice, clothing) or a light/weak taste (wine, tea). Unlike 瘦 (shòu), which is for people/animals, or 细 (xì), which is for slender long things (hair, thread). It also contrasts with 轻 (qīng), which means light in weight, not thin.
