Definition
讹诈 (é zhà) means to extort or blackmail by using threats or false pretenses. It is more specific than 敲诈 (qiāo zhà, general extortion) and emphasizes deception or a fabricated reason, unlike 诈骗 (zhà piàn, which is fraud without coercion).
