Definition
该死 literally means 'deserve to die', but it's almost always used as a strong exclamation of anger, frustration, or annoyance — equivalent to 'damn it!' or 'damn!' in English. It can also be used as an adjective before a noun (该死的 + noun) to curse something or someone. Although the POS is listed as verb, its most common function in everyday speech is as an interjection or fixed expletive phrase.
