误导 (wù dǎo) means 'to mislead' — to cause someone to believe something false, often through incorrect information or statements. 混淆 (hùn xiáo) is different: it means 'to confuse, to mix up' — to blur the boundary between two things so they become indistinguishable. Use 误导 when the focus is on leading someone to a wrong belief; use 混淆 when the focus is on making things unclear or mixed up.
