Definition
象棋 (xiàng qí) is Chinese chess, played on a board with pieces like 将 (general) and 车 (chariot). 围棋 (wéi qí) is Go, a different game played with black and white stones on a grid. Both are traditional board games, but the rules and pieces are completely different.
