财政 (cáizhèng) refers specifically to government or public finance — the management of a country's or region's revenue, spending, and budget. It differs from 财务 (cáiwù), which covers financial affairs of a company or individual, and from 金融 (jīnróng), the broader banking and investment industry. 财经 (cáijīng) is a wider term combining finance and economics.
