Definition
轮船 (lúnchuán) is a general term for a large powered ship (motor or steam) used for transport. It differs from 游船 (yóuchuán), which is a pleasure boat for leisure. The 轮 in 轮船 is not used alone to mean 'ship' — as a separate word it means 'wheel' or 'to take turns'.
