Definition
输入 (shū rù) means 'to input' (data, information) or 'to import' (goods). For importing goods, the more common word is 进口 (jìn kǒu); 输入 is often used for importing in technical or computing contexts. Its opposite is 输出 (shū chū), which means 'to output' or 'to export'.
